Humans of Europe

We want to share the stories of Europe!

Here is Ed's story:

šŸ‘‹ I’m Ed, a 31 year old millennial cosmopolitan. That’s really the only way I can describe myself as Iā€™m a product of both turn-of-the-century generation and the global environment.

šŸŒŽ I was actually born in Mexico and at the age of 12 migrated to the US with my family. I got my first taste of Europe at 21, when I visited Bologna, Italy. After that I had decided to pursue my Master’s in Vienna, spend a few months in the “Brussels bubble” after graduation, only to disappear to Bolivia for a year and finally find myself living in Munich, Germany.

šŸƒšŸ¼ A bit all over the place, right? Well, that also applies to my academic and work life. I got a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Economics while also doing research in Social Psychology before ultimately earning my Master’s in International Relations. I’ve worked in translation, content management, and obviously got some diplomatic experience here and there.

šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡ŗ Europe is the only place that is truly trying to erase national borders. Of course the European project is not perfect, but its accomplishments are even more remarkable than those of the United Nations. The structures, bodies, and laws in place to protect European citizens, not just country nationals ā€“ that, to me, makes it a very unique and world-leading place.

Ed is one of the many falling in love with the European project.
